Censorship of Medical and Scientific Communities

MP Derek Sloan conducted a Parliamentary Press Conference with three esteemed Canadian doctors who share their personal stories of censorship, harassment, threat of academic loss and the utter disbelief that these behaviours are being exhibited in Canada.

Mr. Sloan has been one of the most outspoken critics of the government’s response to the pandemic. In January 2021, he suffered firsthand experience of major censorship after being removed from the national Conservative Party of Canada. Sadly, he knew he was not alone and he issued a call for whistle-blowers from the medical and scientific communities across the country. Doctors, nurses, scientists and other experts have reached out to him with their personal stories.

One common theme was revealed - their stories were not being told in Parliament or by national or social media. In fact, these individuals are being blocked at many levels at telling their stories. Why is this happening? 

Since Parliament is about speaking the truth and the needs of the people, these individuals came to Parliament Hill in Ottawa on June 17, 2021 to do just that. They broadcasted this press conference on the parliamentary channel, CPAC, as a means to ensure it would be not be censored (blocked or removed).  Only one reporter attended. Why is that and where was the CBC?

These courageous doctors represent hundreds of their like-minded colleagues, many of whom are too fearful to speak out.

~ Stand Up Canada honours these individuals

The Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons have effectively removed the “informed” portion of “informed consent” by tying doctor’s hands from speaking out contrary to public health measures.  This is known as a gag order. 

On April 30, 2021, Ontario’s physician licensing body, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), issued a statement forbidding physicians from questioning or debating any or all of the official measures imposed in response to COVID-19.

The CPSO then went on to threaten physicians with punishment – investigations and disciplinary action.

What does this effectively do?  It ties doctors hands because they are not allowed to tell you anything that runs contrary to the public health narrative. This also means, that YOU are prevented from giving your true "informed" consent. 

This is not only unethical, it is immoral. Thousands of doctors in Canada and around the world responded to this unethical statement of orders by creating a DECLARATION OF NON-COMPLIANCE.

• We regard this recent statement of the CPSO to be unethical, anti-science and deeply disturbing.
• As physicians, our primary duty of care is not to the CPSO or any other authority, but to our patients.
