The United Health Care Workers of Ontario (UHCWO) is still very much in existence.
However, we are archiving the information on this page, which was our initial work and support of their initiative.
Finally! UHCWO has launched their own website!
Please visit https://uhcwo.com/ to connect with the United Health Care Workers of Ontario (UHCWO). You will also be able to follow them on their social media feeds now!
Stand Up Canada and the UHCWO have learned so much valuable information over the short period of time since this initiative began. We have updated our Steps below to include communication documents and related information about:
We will update this page as important updates are done by the UHCWO. As such, please revisit this page often.
You are not alone. You are not the only one who feels lost, confused and angry.
Do you know why? Because there is a Supreme Court of Canada ruling on our Constitutional right under section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms – we have the liberty (freedom) to refuse medical treatment without fear of reprisal.
Mandatory vaccination “policies” from employers do NOT trump the Supreme Court of Canada. Our government and employers know this – and now so do we!
We own our bodies – not the government. Period.
Note from Stand Up Canada:
Who are the United Health Care Workers of Ontario (UHCWO)?
United Health Care Workers of Ontario (UHCWO) is a collective of health care workers in Ontario who are opposed to forced disclosure of vaccination status (removal of medical privacy and choice) including mandatory testing and vaccination.
UHCWO consists of EACH and EVERY one of you who oppose these illegal measures: health care workers who want to band together in the shared mission of standing up for our rights. We are staff, physicians and affiliates in the health sector who stand against the medical mandates being enacted by employers in Ontario - unionized and non-unionized, we stand united.
Registering your name and region of employment explained in Step 1 below, allows us to group workers together by health region. You will be united with like-minded colleagues where you work. Support is crucial – you will no longer be alone.
We thank you for joining the fight for our medical freedoms.
Note from Stand Up Canada:
UNITE with colleagues in the health care region where you work. The UHCWO have created a LANDING PAGE. The sole purpose of this landing page below is to GROUP and CONNECT you with colleagues in your health region. There is strength in numbers!

You will receive an automated email right away from the UHCWO (not from Stand Up Canada) – you will need to “Click to Confirm” your subscription (anti-spam laws).
You will receive information from a collective hub and spoke point of contact from your health region, who will provide you with all of the documents listed on this page.
Please DOWNLOAD and READ the document titled Hard Line in the Sand, to understand the position the United Health Care Workers of Ontario are taking.
They are standing up for and preserving their natural and legal right to medical privacy and choice.
Please DOWNLOAD and READ information and instructions for sending Good Faith letters to unions and employers.
These letters are asking specific questions to your unions or employers regarding the authority that issued Directive #6, punitive action taken against you for non-existent leave provisions, and their willingness to support you on these important issues.
If your union will not support you in the manner you are asking, this will trigger your next move, which would be to file a Duty of Fair Representation complaint to the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
For non-unionized workers, this will trigger your next move, which would be to take legal action for breach of employment contract.
Please DOWNLOAD and READ the detailed information and instructions regarding these Notices found below.
Your employer is violating your privacy by asking you to disclose your vaccination status.
Your employer is penalizing you for your right to medical privacy and choice.
Your employer is violating your consent rights by forcing you to undergo a medical treatment (YES, vaccines are medical treatments). You have every right to refuse medical treatment including COVID-19 vaccination without reprisal.
Stand up for your natural and legal rights and send your employer a Notice of Liability for:

DownloadPlease watch this powerful 5-minute video of Julie Ponesse as she gives her last ethics lesson at Western University on September 8, 2021.
At the time of this video, Julie Ponesse was a Professor of Ethics at Huron College at the University of Western Ontario - one of the largest universities in Canada.
Her employment was terminated due to her medical choice not to vaccinate.
- why was Ms. Ponesse not accommodated for her medical choice?
Ultimately, your body and the choices you make surrounding it are up to you.
We are providing educational tools to help you stand up for your rights, but please remember there may be consequences for any action or inaction you take surrounding this most important subject - your body.
